A two-day global hackathon where teams use open space and Earth data to solve challenges set by NASA and its partner agencies. Hundreds of local events run worldwide, and there is a virtual option for anyone without a local event.

Open to anyone. Teams can have up to 6 people. Check the official rules for any age limits.

14 to 15 Nov 2026. Project submissions open 14 Nov at 9:00 and close 15 Nov at 23:59, local time.
How to apply
- Register on the official 2026 Space Apps site.
- Choose an in-person or virtual local event, or the virtual Universal Event.
- Form a team of up to 6 people.
- Pick a challenge and submit your project before 23:59 local time on 15 Nov.
